President Ram Baran Yadav called some acclaimed legal professionals at his residence Saturday and expressed concern over the delay in constitution drafting and the ongoing obstruction of the legislative parliament.

President Yadav sought a collective advice from senior legal professionals Bhimarjun Acharya, Tika Ram Bhattarai, Kumar Regmi, Bipin Adhikari, Parshuram Upadhyaya and Dinesh Tripathi, among others, on his role to expedite the constitution drafting process.

The constitution drafting and peace process should be completed within the stipulated time at any cost; it should not be prolonged by imposing a state of emergency or by amending the Interim Constitution, said a lawyer quoting the President.

The President also sought the lawyers' advice on what could be his role within the provisions of the Interim Constitution to expedite the process of writing the new constitution.

President Yadav also expressed concern about the confusion on the post of Vice President and the ongoing obstruction of the legislative parliament preventing budget for this year to be passed.

The lawyers advised President Yadav to discuss the issues in good faith with the leaders of the major political parties.

According to Nagarik daily, the President expressed dissatisfaction over a proposal made by Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) to the Unified CPN (Maoist), which indirectly accepts that the President had taken a wrong move on the army chief case.

I have not taken any decision at my discretion and outside the perimeter of the Interim Constitution; all I had done was to suggest the erstwhile Prime Minister to correct the decision on the recommendation of 18 political parties. I am hurt by NC- UML's proposal which shows me wrong; a lawyer quoted the President as saying.

NC and UML have proposed the Maoists to table a motion at the legislative parliament with the wordings, 'the legislative parliament directs the government to table bill(s) for amendment of statutes to clarify the confusion seen about the President's jurisdiction at times.'

The Maoists have not agreed to such wording saying it should be clearly mentioned that the President's move on the army chief case was wrong, in one or the other way. nepalnews.com

I have copied this part from the newsletter above "The lawyers advised
President Yadav to discuss the issues in good faith with the leaders of the
major political parties." President has asked them to advise how he can
expedite the consution drafting process as the stupid political leaders are
playing power game. And these so called acclaimed legal professionals have
suggested the president to go to talk with the political leaders. "Are these
acclaimmed professional all dumb holes? Can't they sugeest what president can
do? or say he can not do anything?

you should have enough guts to respect the consution and improve law and order
in nepal when it comes to your responsibility. Nepalese needs to learn how to
govern or be governed by since they never had one who knows to govern the
country. you have to set a example and i hope god will help you.

I think he is getting order from his master (India and Girija) to create a
situation for emergency rule that way they can forcefully bring a bogus and
useless consution that maintains status of thugs of congress. How stupid are
these criminals and they think Nepalese will put with them for indefinite
period. Time has come to drag all these thugs and criminals from Sinha darbar
and president, pm residence to Tundikhel and needs a m dhulai. If nepalese army
is democratic they must side with the people not with the corrupt politicians.

Anonymous  - Mr Yadav you had been played by NC and some UML th   |60.242.225.xxx |2009-10-25 09:11:10
Dear President just be honest either you had been puppet of NC if not difinitely
puppet of Indian. You had been played the thugs of the party. We all knew they
used you because of your weakness. You can put that blame to Girija, Sood and
Oli if they forced you to do that. If you believe in democratic norms, and you
were clear of your role you should have over stepped. Actually your such blunt
step created so much conflict and whole process of consution has been delayed.
You acted like you belong to NC and you should protect their interest and you
did not behave like a president of Nepal rather you behaved like you were
president of NC and you were fulfilling Indian interest. Hope you pay the right
price for your mistake.
