Nepali Congress Mahasamiti meeting has been extended by at least one day as discussions on proposed statute and other political dossiers did not complete on Tuesday.
The next session of the Mahasamiti meeting has been called for 8 am Wednesday after being called off today. The meeting was initially scheduled for November 1 to 3.

The representatives have expressed mixed opinion on whether the of the authority party president should be trimmed or kept as it is in the new statute. Most of them dwelled on criticising the party leadership and talking about the statute draft, although they were also expected to speak on other reports tabled at the Mahasamiti meeting including those on state restructuring and issues in the new constitution.
NC Mahasamiti meeting was called to finalise the statute draft for the upcoming general convention and clarify the party's position on some key issues to be included in the new constitution.
The statute draft was tabled with three separate options after the Central Working Committee failed to settle the differences among leaders in some key issues. nepalnews.com
