The Unified CPN (Maoist), which has declared natiowide protests beginnign Nov 1, has called off its bandh (shutdown strike) at the Tribhuvan Internatinal Airport.
The Maoist party is learnt to have called off the bandh programme at the request of foreign diplomats who met party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal earlier today.
As part of its protest for restoring 'civilian supremacy, the Maoist party had announced bandh at the only international airport of the country on November 10.
Maoist chairman Dahal and party's foreign department chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara held a joint meeting with the ambassadors of 12 countries including USA, India, Britain, France, Denmark and Finland informing them about the protest programmes and seeking their support for them.
