The meeting of the council of ministers held this morning formed the three-member investigation commission.
The cabinet also decided not to resume the operation of Hetauda Textile Industry. The former Maoist-led government had decided to restart the industry and allocated Rs 80 million. The industry even had published tender for supply of cotton for its operation.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is also learnt to have briefed the cabinet about his meeting with Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal during a dinner on Tuesday evening. The cabinet has called on the Maoists to make their protests peaceful.
According to government spokesperson Shankar Pokhrel, council of ministers also discussed the procedures for verification of certificates of the government employees and the issue regarding the hotels/lodges inside the Chitwan National Park. nepalnews.com
