Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel has accused United Nations and its mission in Nepal of 'preaching' in the influence of the Unified CPN (Maoist), while Maoist leader Lila Mani Pokhrel has accused the ruling parties of criticisng UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's statement to promote Indian interest.

Speaking at a programme organised by Reporters Club Nepal in Kathmandu, Saturday, NC leader Poudel said, UNMIN is influenced by the Maoists, it should stop preaching and improve itself.

Poudel said, it is up to the Nepali people to determine what type of government to form by a democratic process and UNMIN or any other foreign agency don't have the right to urge or direct on this issue.

In a different different programme organised in Nepalgunj, Saturday afternoon, Maoist standing committee member Pokhrel said the criticism of UNSG's statement was fuelled by Indian interest.

Pokhrel said, UNSG's statement is being explained in the interest of the Indian establishment.

India doesn't want Nepal's peace process to succeed, said Pokhrel. They want to have a monopoly influence in Nepal by sidelining the UN.

Pokhrel further said, the UNSG's statement had justified Maoist demands for a national unity government.

UNSG Ban's statement is not interference, but an expression of reality, he said. nepalnews.com

This shows that the cabinet led by MAKUNE is solely like an NGO working
for

promotion of interest of India,
working as slave of India. India
wanted
before and wants till date that UN as well as Maoist should be
sidelined
so
that everything in Nepal will be as per wish and order of
India.

This is very
shame on Nepali Leaders specially NC and CPN UML.

Mr. Poudel, why are you worried for the suggestions of SG of UN? He has just
given a suggestions not a prescription of medicine. Our leaders have no common
sense to understand the gravity our country is facing right now. They are busy
to capture power by unethical means and present themselves as champions of
democracy. Where is Democracy? All losers are in power and making fool to all
nepalese common peoples. This is unfortunate chapter of our country. No
leaders is sensible towards country, its people rather they are fighting for the
power. It's shame on the part of whole leadership of Nepalese political
parties.
Bmali  - Uneffective UNMIN ??!!   |202.79.55.xxx |2009-11-08 03:45:27
Why UNMIN has looked & remained eneffective in the case of Nepal Army & PLA?
Everybody understands that Maoists' & the other political parties that time were
competing each other and wrote invitation letter seperately to UN to observe
and looke after the Nepal Army & PLA Management. They were in so horry that they
even did nothad time to think coolly and approve the conditions and the role of

UNMIN.The consequence of such deal has resulted the country most sufferer.
Now, instead of realising the mistake and make correction, they are blaming UN's
present suggestion. If the Political Parties have been capable, why they were
not capable or competent to form the National Unity govt from the very begining
or last long?
All the political parties have interprated the UN Secratries
suggestion that the formation of National Unity should be Maoist led-Govt. By
such interpreation, Maoists has upper hand & trying to gather sympathy. But...

Ha ha ha Paudel was Beaten by Mr. Sarki we haven’t forgotten yet. Paudel is
enle to get blow in is face because he is the pimp of Nepal to India. If anybody
contemplate the core history of NC, their contribution to Nepal and people
perhaps nobody likes it. Their absolute effort was and is to hand over Nepal to
India. I tried my best to understand why people like NC I never had an answer. I
like Nepal as my native land and freedom. I do not have problem with India as
good neighbor but I hate if they give us vulture's sight.
