Addressing a function in capital on Monday, former finance minister Dr Bhattarai said economic development in Nepal will not happen as long as the private properties are used in unproductive sectors and corruption not checked.

Bhattarai said parties must show seriousness to avoid any disaster that may crop up in the country if the constituent assembly fails to give new constitution within the time frame.
Speaking at the same prorgamme, former state minister for health Shahi Shrestha said progressive economic policy and strong political commitments are prerequisite for economic development. nepalnews.com
