Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala's health condition remains stable after various tests and treatments and he's well on the recovery path, media reports said on Tuesday.

The octogenarian leader underwent a Bronchoscope - a special tests of the lungs - at the Gleneagles Hospital and Medical Center in Singapore where he remains admitted for treatment of various respiratory related problems including pneumonia since Saturday.

Koirala has long been suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or Bronchitis. He went to Singapore for treatment Saturday on a special air ambulance after he developed health complications last week.

Doctors involved in Koirala's treatment say that further treatment on Koirala will start from Tuesday. nepalnews.com

The Friday news stated "Koirala's health deteriorates further..." and is
flown to Singapore on Saturday, to be dogged by Prachanday soon. Today is
Wednesday, after just couple of "tests" he is "stable and fine"
and able to discuss the insights with Prachanday. Just the "tests" have
almost cured Koirala, am sure he will be fit to walk back once he receives the
treatment. We should have such medical facilities here too.

Girja stinks so bad that even Yamraj does not want Girja anywhere near him. He
is not gonna die anytime soon; not until Nepal turns out like Ruwanda or
Somalia, he'll not rest in peace.

nuff said; olo_ Girja.

I can almost guarantee that girija will not die for at least another 20 years.
he is not the type that dies and that is fatal for Nepal. what irony!

It is because of GP Koirala himself that a hospital that provides treatment for
Bronchitis is absent. Paap Dhuri Bata Karaunchha, you know. His paap is shouting
from Singapore. Perhaps, it will shout from India, malaysia etc etc.

I wish G.P. a quick recovery from his chronic illness and come back the country
and build a good hospital which will be helpful to himself in future and to
millions of people as well. It is very awful to say that Nepal doesn't have a
hospital that can treat bronchitis. So sad!!!! Isn't it?? Shame !! to the
leaders!!!
