Oli, who is considered one of the architects of the current ruling coalition, flatly ruled out the possibility of the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led government collapsing any time soon and challenged the Maoists to prove their majority in the parliament if they wanted to lead the government.
Saying that the 22-party government would step down only after conducting the next general election, Oli said Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal showed 'childishness' by claiming that the government was going to be replaced by a national unity government within a few days.
Talking to reporters on his arrival at the airport on Wednesday after a three-day visit to Singapore, Dahal said the government would topple within a few days. He met Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala who is undergoing treatment in Singapore. nepalnews.com
