| Nepali Congress acting president Sushil Koirala. |
Speaking at a face to face programme with journalists in Chitwan on Saturday morning, the acting president said his party will not allow any issues related to the president enter the parliament for debate.
He called for intervention from the speaker to end the deadlock at the parliament and endorse the budget to avoid any economic disaster in the country.
Koirala further said, the confidential tête-à-tête between his party president Girija Prasad Koirala and Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Singapore is meaningless and will have no impact in the current coalition. He rejected the claims of Dahal on immediate change in the government.
He added NC supports the current government until it completes the tasks of writing a new constitution and concluding peace process.
However, he expressed dissatisfaction that the current coalition government is not functioning as expected. nepalnews.com
