The 21 parties in the ruling coalition have decided to issue whips to their lawmakers for compulsory attendance in the parliamentary proceedings and vote for passing the budget.

A brief meeting of the ruling coalition held at Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday morning decided to call back all their lawmakers who are out of Kathmandu to participate in the House sitting.

According to the leaders, the meeting concluded to pass the appropriation bill by Tuesday and the budget by Wednesday. As per the regulations, budget should be presented at the parliament for endorsement 72 hrs after passing the appropriation bill. The business advisory committee of the parliament on Sunday had decided to suspend the provisions for passing the budget.

The parliamentary proceedings resume from Monday after nearly fourth months of disturbances by Maoists. The House is yet to hold discussions on budget allocation for 16 ministries. nepalnews.com

Greater  - responsibility must be realized by politicians   |124.108.52.xxx |2009-11-23 06:11:32
The current coalition GVMT and opposition party of Nepal have greater
responsibility than just to p budget.GVMT and opposition party are equal to be
blamed as they are swallowing and victimizing the people. Maoist slogan to make
Nepal like Singapore within a 10 yrs - is this a cheap slogan to be popular
amonngst the Nepalese. Where do the the peace and development stuck?? If
politicians have no brain to do good things, they must transfer their
responsibility to the well educated and well intentioned people.

The Only party that stands in front of Indian Politics is Maoist; other all
parties are puppets of India. The only party which can play on the wave of bad
politics of India. So India knows that if Maoist will come in government they
will not obey all the things they want. So India is not letting Maoist to come
in government. Don’t go on Ideology of Parties and our thinking. Now in this
situation when India is taking under control to Nepal in every aspect, there
should be cleaver and intelligent politicians from our side. If we have Puppets,
think the future….. ….we will be singing Jana Gana Mana….
It is good
budget problem solved.
