UCPN (M) fails to fix party-proposed state boundaries

The Unified CPN (Maoist) has failed to sort out internal differences on proposed state boundaries during its second day of deliberations as Monday.

The state committee in-charges and chiefs of the party's ethnic fronts associated to the opposition party have handed over the authority of demarcating state boundaries to the standing committee.

The meeting held at party headquarters Paris Danda, Koteshwor, in the presence of the party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other senior leaders concluded to let the standing committee take final decision on proposed 13 states.

Party spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma told reporters after the meeting that the standing committee will take a concrete decision at the earliest.

He, however, said party's proposed states are not final. "The final decision on names and number of states will be taken by the Constituent Assembly," Sharma said, adding that the party would start active interaction with other parties on demarcation of the borders and names of the states.

Differences surfaced within the party soon after it announced dates for declaration of the autonomous states as part of its third phase stir. nepalnews.com

today i am really ashamed of myself that i voted for Maoists. And i am sure that
every single people of Nepal are ashamed of themselves because they voted for
someone or some parties who have no concern for the country. People of Nepal are
safe abroad rather than being safe within the boundary of the country. YCL has
been the superhit for for Maoists to threaten the country and it's people.

People give yhe example of USA . Is those 52 states are created on the basis of
Ethnicity?

The ethnicity based federalism was in former USSR, Whish broke
down in several states and still trying to divided as Chechenya.

China has
ethnicity federalism which is Not broken due to military suppresion.

In India
communist are trying to divide the country but the other party is resisting and
on military suppresion ethnic based movement/insurgency is suppressed under the
boots of army.

What the Nepali wants ? Nobody is clear. But it is clear that
some ethnic leader and Maoist leader has the genophobic disorder so they wants
to divide Nepal in ethnicity based politics.

The decision is in peoples hand
. Think seriously.

Surely we will have another civil war.That war will be between the mongloids and
the aryans.Then again another civil war will happen between bahun and chettri in
the aryans occupied states.In the madesh there will be war between the hindus
and muslims both wanting a separate state.And among the mongoloids there will be
war between the rais ..gurungs..sherpa..magars..tamangs..and all will be eager
to promote their own language and in the meantime forget Nepali.We are surely
opening a pandoras box and that too in a small country like Nepal to which if
the Indians piss ,it will drown the south and if the chinese population piss
then it will drown the north side.Wake up from slumber Nepal and the so called
intellectuals of Nepal ....this country is among the worlds smallest country .
To keep its sovergnity alive we should all unite as Nepalis gorkhalis...not
divide along the ethnic lines.
