Senior Maoist leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai has urged people to stay ready for another uprising as attempts are being made to disband the Constituent Assembly, oust Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and his government and impose an army rule.
Speaking at a mass assembly organised by his party in Dulegaunda of Tanahun Saturday, Bhattarai claimed his party had credible information that plots were being hatched to impose a presidential rule with the backing of Chief of Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal.
Accusing PM Nepal and UML leader K P Sharma Oli of dancing to the tune of monarchists and foreign forces, Bhattarai said attempts are being made to impose a military rule by projecting a civilian ruler like in Bangladesh.
At the function, Bhattarai also welcomed more than 300 cadres who joined the Unified CPN (Maoist) from various other parties. nepalnews.com
