The central committee meeting of the Unified CPN (Maoist), which was to take place Thursday afternoon, has been deferred to Saturday.

The CC meeting was postponed as the politburo meeting, which is going on since Monday, could not conclude according to the schedule, party sources said. The CC meeting is to take up the agendas passed by the politburo.

The politburo meeting is yet to decide on Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's political document. At the end of the meeting, Dahal will answer the questions raised by the politburo members on his paper before it is endorsed.

Apart from underlining the party's role and future strategy, Dahal's dossier analyses the current political situation of the country, party's ongoing protest movement for 'civilian supremacy' and organisational matters. nepalnews.com
