Senior Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba
At a time when some leaders of the Nepali Congress are believed to have been in contact with the Maoist leadership in their bid to replace the Madhav Nepal-led government, senior Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has said there is no possibility of a new ruling coalition taking shape right now.

Speaking to reporters in Hetauda on Tuesday, Deuba said changing the government through constitutional process would not be unusual, but new alliance emerging anytime soon is anything but possible.

He expressed confidence that the present government would get continuity until the promulgation of new constitution. Deuba also stressed that integration of Maoist combatants should be completed at the earliest to ensure timely constitution-drafting.

Few weeks back, there were reports of the Maoist leadership proposing Deuba to head the next government. Maoist vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha went to Deuba's residence, pledging him support for the PM's post and that Deuba was upbeat about the offer.

Some NC leaders including deputy prime minister Sujata Koirala and joint general secretary Arjun Narsingh K.C have publically said the NC is ready to take up government's leadership, but the party has not said anything officially.

Speculations of a new coalition are rife after Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's proposal for new coalition government presented at a recent meeting of the high-level political mechanism, which has been taken positively by some sections in the NC and the UML. nepalnews.com

Nepal is a field of political football. There is no season to play political
football here. Anytime you can go to the field and challenge others to grab a
shield. Therefore it is a never ending process and goes on and on without any
final challenge or substantial outcome.

Why we keep hearing speculation of same old rotten, dead wood and infamouns
incompetent, corrupt criminals' name for potential candidate for new coalisiton
government. What does it mean there no single honest, capable leader who wants
to work for the country its people. All these names are too old, overly rotten,
and no substance left in their moral, courage, strength, credibility and any
other counts any of these even could be counted as a human being. Most we have
seen are worst than a mad and criminal animal

Disgusting demagogues of Nepal's political parties have again started 'musical
chair politics', that in the past had completely debilitated consutional
multi-party parliamentary democracy thereby paving the way for Maoists'
unwanted, if not unexpected, rise. Prominent among them are Sujata Jost Koirala
who has, in one way or another, emerged as the sole cause behind the historic
decline of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, one of the most abominable
libertines of Nepalese political landscape and Prachanda, who is better known by
his nom de guerre 'butcher of the Himalayas'. These impostors have already
turned Nepal into a hell. Nobody knows, what they are still up to. It is
earnestly advisable that the Nepalese learn the common character of French
Revolution and Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. What I mean to say is that people
should not make any delay in identifying and summarily brushing aside the true
enemies of the cou...

Please please please, he even does not know how to deliver the speech in a m
gathering or any formal events within/outside the country. It would be shame to
make him Prime Minister again and please do not do it for the sake of our
country Nepal.

Let Nepal be a strong and justifiable country amongst the other
South-East Asian nations and rest of the world. He is clearly not a suitable
candidate to lead the country.

We can read and hear ourself, time to time that Maoist and prachanda says
unification of the comunist is required and it is important! same time they go
and propose to NC for the leadership of the Goverment. Why????? what would be
the benifit to removing Madhab Nepal and replaced by NC Girija or Deupa or even
Sujata. Prachanda needs to answer first to the people about it and if there is a
good reason CPN UML has to quite the leadership. Or it is simply nonsence with
no reason Prachanda would be shown as a kid.who creats a problem on the name of
Nagarik Sarbochata. ( please forward this message to Prachand without fail)
