A senior leader of the Nepali Congress Khum Bahadur Khadka has warned of taking arms if his party's cadres "continue to face attacks from the Maoists".

He told journalists in Arghakhachi Wednesday morning that cause of his party's poor performances in recent years was due to the fear of Maoist attacks and looting of properties.

He blamed the Maoists of hiding their arms and claimed that new constitution cannot be drafted until these arms are uncovered and handed over to the state.

He said that his nation-wide tour is for renewing enthusiasm to the NC party workers for strengthening democracy. On the occasion, he also announced to contest for the post of party president in upcoming general convention.

Khadka also opposed the proposal tabled at the Constituent Assembly to carve out states on ethnicity lines and forecast civil war in the country if parties agree to adopt the proposal.

The state restructuring committee of the constituent assembly proposed for 14 states drawn mosty on ethnic lines. Party leaders speaking on the report at the CA debates opposed the idea and proposed for formation of a state restructuring commission for determining number and names of the states.

He also called on the parties to adhere to their commitments made in the past to ensure timely constitution and successful conclusion of the peace process. nepalnews.com

Khum you have tolerate tyranny of Maoist in last 15 yrs. During insurgency,
Maoist killed many more Nepali Congress caders and activitists. Girija has been
giving Maoist everything they needed; such as bread, butter, money, house, land,
gun, bomb, training for killing, good position and luxurious life etc. Girija is
blindfolded by Maoist. He think Maoist are his relatives, son and daughter but
not criminal. Maoist still hungry for killing NC. Do you tolerate and start to
kill Maoist it is upto you. It seems it is your turn to be terrorist against
Maoist.

this is not the voice of Khum Bahadur but the voice of India. we all knew tha
most of our top leader whether of NC, UML or even of Maoist party are pro
Indian. This is the bitter truth that we all Nepalese should understand. India
wants that there should never be peace in Nepal. It wanna make Nepal like Sikkim
if possible, if not then Bhutan. So, there is a need of leader who can act in
the best interest of Nepal and Nepali people, not in the interest of India like
most of our leaders do. Lets hope for the best and may god Pashupatinath give
little bit of knowledge to our leaders. Mother and Motherland is greater than
heaven and it is never too late to correct ourselves and work for the benefits
of our motherland.

Dear Sirs
What Mr. Khum Bahadur Khadka is expressing the fear for NC is not
wrong. Protection is first and foremost if necessary to do any work/job without
doubt and fear. If NC Manage it for their prorection selfeslessly, It must be
done by any party or person.

O.K. Mr Khadkaji is not wrong.

money which corrupted during the government of pro Indian party Nepali congress.
Nepali congress`s all leaders must be put in the jail because they have
corrupted whole country budget. If we can and possible and Nepali janta haru
understood,we should be crossed border them toward India, the Nepali congress
peoples and leaders are not favour of Nepal and Nepalese whatever they say in
the bhashan.
