Bandh cripples normal life in nine eastern districts

Normal life in nine eastern districts has come to a standstill owing to the bandh called by the Federal Limbuwan State Council-Revolution on Sunday.

Agitators imposed the bandh demanding a separate state of Limbuwan. They have expressed dissatisfaction with the federal module recently proposed by the State Restructuring and Distributing of State Power Committee in the CA. The Committee proposed to demarcate the country into 14 states.

Transportation as well as educational and commercial activities in Dhankuta, Taplejung, Illam, Jhapa and Panchthar, among others, have been affected by the shutdown.

Vehicles have averted from plying on Mechi, Koshi and local highways. nepalnews.com

Please please why don't Nepali leaders sit in an extra large round table (
capacity of thousands) and p a resolution NOT to use "Nepal Bandha" as
their political tool to press whatever thier demands are. Media has to play a
very big role to announce for a hefty fines and imprisonments for those who defy
the law. How can we grow when Bandhas criple our daily lives pushing us days
behind while rest of the world is moving forward at the speed of light. Grow up
you morons and leave us in peace!

Here we all must understand that people of Limbuwan are fighting for the right,
which have been denied to them all these years, despite their protest in the
past. It has never been put in light to public. The profound right promised by
King Prithvi Narayan Shah in a written agreement, which directs Limbuwan to be
an autonomous state under unified sovereign kingdom of Nepal, considering the
importance of its strategic geographical position. Therefore, disintegrating
parts of Limbuwan into several states by present government is, against this
agreement and against the integrity and unity of our nation. It is right time to
hear their valid grievance seriously, at this stage of drafting our new
consution and return their overdue right in liberal manner.

rastra. Hit the iron when it is red hot. It is the right choice baby. Ask for
Whole Nepal to be declared a Limbu rastra man. Buck up. stand up for your right.

Banda is costy, it is like 'pissing against the wind' the way to win the heart
and mind of the puplic is to be good to them. All the derogatory activities will
not make party better.

Please look some other solutions to bring our points
to the Government but not Banda.
