Reports say, there has been snowfall in some districts of the far and the mid west. Some highways and airports have been blocked due to the snowfall. The road connecting to Bajhang district headquarter Chainpur has been blocked due to snow accumulation on the road. Likewise, local airport in Rukum has also closed due to snow.

According to the Department of Meteorology, 49.8 mm of rainfall was recorded in the far-west last night.

Likewise, a 0.9 mm rainfall has been recorded in Kathmandu. The sky has been covered by cloud and the streets have been drenched. There are fewer traffic and people on the road due to the weather condition.

According to meteorologists, the rain occurred due to the westerly winds from Afghanistan and Pakistan. The intensity of the rain will gradually increase towards the east from the west, they said. nepalnews.com
