Alluding to the calls for his resignation made by some parties, Rawal said those criticising him had failed to notice how [read badly] the home administration had performed in the past.
He claimed that the home administration was capable of tackling with the current security challenges. Defending the special security plan introduced by the government six months ago, Rawal said he knew of conspiracies being hatched to make the security plan a failure.
"I've received information about the conspiracy of elements who want to create anarchy in the country," he said, claiming that some corrupt security officials, political leaders and civil servants were involved in the conspiracy.
Rawal also criticised the media for not disseminating information on the successful operations carried out by the police while highlighting their failures. "They [journalists] make hue and cry instead of informing the police whenever they receive threats over the telephone." nepalnews.com
