EC awards official status to Yadav's faction of MJF

The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday recognized the Upendra Yadav-led faction of Madhesi Janadikar Forum (MJF) as the establishment faction and asked Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar-led faction of the party to form a new party.

In a hearing conducted over the legitimacy of the two factions of the party today, the bench comprising Acting Chief Election Commissioner Neel Kantha Uprety and Commissioner Dolakh Bahadur Gurung decided in favor of Yadav-led faction by awarding it the status of official party.

Lawyers representing both the factions had put forward their arguments to support the claim of their respective factions they represented.

The EC had on July 21 decided to conduct a hearing over the dispute as to which of the two MJF factions is the official party.

Earlier, Yadav led faction claimed that Gachchhadar led faction doesn't even have the required support to form a new party.

But Gachchhadar-faction claimed it had support of majority of party's central members and should be recognized as the establishment faction. nepalnews.com

The way , parties are splitting , one day will come when we will have 1000 of
parties which will be of no use. EC must have strict rule to avoid this. Already
our country is stuck with political deadlock,wat common nepali wiil achieve.
Strikes,abduction, internal rifts etc are already damaging peaceful environment.

Appeal to all the ages, NRNs that until we react actively today, it will be too
late to save our Great Nation NEPAL. Although it might be in paper, but each and
every single Indian Nationalities have not recognised and respected the
sovereignty and integrity of Nepal. Political parties like MJF are canving
people and further dividing the people.MJF is in the tactics of DIVIDE AND
RULE.A symbol explains thousand of words, MJF constant persuasion of inclusive
of HINDI language is a clear depiction. At the least the ideny crisis and
fragmentation issue was not there during the regime of G SHAH. Going beyond the
ethical issue and the national issue, is not what democracy is all about. Sooner
or Later, parties like MJF will hear ringing bells when the true sons of Nepal
will rise up to counteract the actions, True Sons meaning people of Nepal
inclusive of all demographics and Geography.
