At least a dozen people were injured, one critically, in a skirmish that ensued after cadres of Unified CPN (Maoist) affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) attacked a programme organised by Rastriya Prajatantra Party - Nepal (RPP-N) in Pokhara Thursday morning. Some six policemen were also injured in the scuffle.

Ten of those injured were RPP-N activists. Reports said YCL cadres with wooden sticks and iron rods in their hands suddenly attacked them at Siddhartha Chowk at 8:45 am while they were collecting signatures in support of their nationwide programme to declare the country a Hindu state and restore constitutional monarchy, according to reports.

RPP-N district chairman Devi Jung Gurung has sustained serious injuries in the attack. He is currently undergoing treatment at Model Hospital.

District division chairman Lal Bahadur Malla including Amir Miyaa, Sakuran Miyaa, Ram Bahadur Tamang, Dand Raj Acharya were also among the injured RPP-N activists. They are also undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

YCL cadres also clashed with police personnel who had intervened to take control of the situation. They started pelting stones at the police after the latter tried to stop them from disrupting the RPP-N program.

In the scuffle two YCL cadres and six police personnel sustained minor injuries. One of the injured has been identified as YCL district chairman Suman Devkota.

Following the clash, the main market center of Mahendra Pul has been shut down and transportation has also been obstructed.

Reports said there is a heavy presence of security personnel in the area as the situation is still very tense. nepalnews.com

I am a pro-monarchist. Couple of times in the past, I had a dream - dream that
Dr. Baburam Bhattarai was brushing the boots of our beloved King Sri 5 Gyanendra
Bir Bikram Shah Dev whilst the Son of a bitch Prachanda was pulling the Carriage
in which our King Sri 5 Gyanendra Bir Bikram Sha Dev was presiding with a divine
grace. I have developed a strong conviction that Dr. Bhattarai and Prachanda are
fated to lick the boots of our king.

Long Live Monarchy
Long Live the King

The YCLs are always up to something, and always doing bad. But by saying so am
not in favour of the King. Sorry, his time is over. He had every chance in this
world to put things straight but he blew it. He is to be blamed. Lets also not
forget that when rest of the world's kids were going to college and school,
Nepal's two generations were deprived of basic education (104 years of autocracy
rule). YCL and Youth force etc are the manufacured products of the ill-literate
political goons.

SORRY - it's too late. We cant have the King back and also sorry we cannot have
ONE supreme religion back in Nepal. The King represents everything that makes
Nepal poor and backward. Today there is no road to jajarkot and Rukum. Ranas
and the Shahas refrained from establishing schools and roads for all these years
just to keep Nepal backward and worshipping the King. The religion you want to
bring back is does not believe in the equality of all people. the dalits and
janjatees have suffered for hundreds of years. What fun do you get to see
people suffer discrimination. My deepest sympathies to Rastriya Prajatantra
Party - Nepal (RPP-N)

RPPN - seek for aylu in France. Surely you will get it because YCL is involved.

I m really shocked by this incident. YCL has proved to be synonymus of Mad
circle. I would like to say all Nepali brothers and sisters to be well awake of
this psychic behaviour of Ycl.
Being d citizen we have right to vote our
likings not by pressure of YCL. So, i urge not to afraid of this minor group.
Instead we have to control this type of anarchy.

LONG LIVE MONARCHY

Watever may be the cuz one individual can't ault another unless for defense
purpose and i m seeing many news where party cadres are clasing with each other
and their is no such law or not implementation of law to control and punish
them, instead Mr. Prachanda was very proud in his speech of Saktikhor Video where
he mention his cadres are bashing uml cadres.

Why u cadres are so studpid i
don't know exactly but let me request u ur valuable time n life is wasted for ur
so called leader who just used u for their success and main thing is see their
own children are always in safe side wheter it gyanendra, prachanda, baburam
,madhav nepal , girija , gacchadar, or watever, so plz plz plz try to make ur
own life instead of making ur corrupt leader life so dat we can atleast be proud
of ourself if not today may be by 10 yrs time.

plz correct me if i m wrong.

You guys who are speaking in support of the monarchy no doubt must have thrived
by hook or crook under the umbrella of kingship. That is why you want to louch a
desparate campaign to resurect the kingship. No thank you. We have suffered
enough under this regime. This is the reason people get up set on learning this
sort of activities. Stop this stupidity
