A day after CPN (UML) chairman Jhala Nath Khanal asked NC vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel and CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to withdraw their prime ministerial candidacy to create ground for consensus among the parties, deputy prime minister and NC central leader Sujata Koirala has revealed that her party is ready to withdraw its PM candidacy if other parties become ready for "national consensus".

Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Union at the Koirala family residence in Biratnagar of Morang on Friday, Koirala said that her party will withdraw its prime ministerial candidacy for the sake of national consensus and will show others that "it does not lust for government leadership or power".

She said the party is now of the view that it should try to forge consensus and understanding for an all-party government than opting for a majority government and end up making the country hostage to further political turmoil.

Koirala also said that as the past governments formed on the basis of parliamentary majority in the country has not been able to do anything worthwhile for the country and its people and the new government should be formed on the basis of consensus and no political parties should be excluded from it. nepalnews.com

Being a deputy primeminister and minister for foreign affairs, how could you dare
to say this government is failure ? Looting the antion's purse and travelling
around world and saying Govt is failed,it's a foul game of dirty mouth with
dirty mind.

If indeed what Sujata is saying is the voice of NC who whos (doubtful as NC is
also divided)house, we shoudl thnak her. Paudel and his chamcha are on the
suicidal path to grab the PM's chair anyhow. They are wasting millions of Rs. of
poor country's resources and we tax payers' money to fulfill their greed for
power. NC is a corrupt and spoilt party like the Madheshi parties and I will not
be surprised if they become `CHOR CHOR MAUSERA BHAI' to loot and doom this
country by selling themselves and Nepal to a foreign copuntry. So Sujata, if if
you ahve mnaged to convince your mad NC leaders, a big CONGRATULAITONS for
CONCENSUS gOVT. LED BY Mapoists (but with only is the only sensible decision to
save Nepal.

DPM Sujata is rational to say nothing but consensus government can deliver what
Nepalis are expecting all parties to deliver at this time. Any other options
other than consensus government at least with 3/4 majority might deepen the
political crisis.

SORRY, PEOPLE HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE FACT. NO OPTION THAN TO PULL OUT THE CANDIDACY
IF UML REMAINED FIRM IN THEIR DECISION. IF SUCCESSED TO CONVINCE UML AND THEN
MADHISES WILL ALSO JOIN NC OTHERWISE WHY TO GO FOR THEM WHO IS NOT GOING TO WIN
THE ELECTION, JUST WASTE OF VOTING RIGHT.

thinks that the national interest is higher than his personal interest at the
moment is the President-Dr.Yadav.Others are just selfish & Greedy.Let us go for
him with executive power who will drive the country in the right direction. No
