SC dismisses writ against withdrawal of Khanal's PM candidacy

The Supreme Court on Friday threw out the writ petition against the withdrawal of the prime ministerial candidacy of UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal.

A single bench of justice Balaram K.C quashed the writ stating a matter with the parliament could not be decided by the court.

Advocates Kumar Acharya and Bhabishwar Gurung, who is also a member of UML legal department, had jointly filed a petition claiming that the withdrawal of Khanal's candidacy is illegal as such provision is not mentioned anywhere in the parliamentary regulations.

The petitioners accused caretaker PM Madhav Kumar Nepal, who tabled the motion to elect Khanal as the PM, of withdrawing the proposal with an intention to prolong his duration in office. Speaker Subas Nemwang and the parliament secretariat were also accused in the writ.

The writ demanded the previous two elections be cancelled and Khanal’s candidacy be retained at the elections slated for August 2. nepalnews.com

the same court the same judges who were just like the slave followers of cpn
uml and decided every intered issue concerning the concern of uml in the court
decided in favour blindly irrespective of any merits involved total injustices
showing their loyality to uml and took all benifitto their personal concern as
treatment bill and voucherss foreign journeys undue a;llowence high perks and
ammunities from the uml government .now the same judges denying the writ
petetion filed in favour of ulms chiefs pm candidacy quashed the writ because
uml is not likely not riding on pms chair and they changed their loylity towards
the other changing and reigning partys favour.this is just like lizards colour
change .it shows how ultimate opportunists the judges are.so long these
corrupted judges are not totaly sacked there is no rule no law and no ustice in
this country.its a court of corruption and national burden hail to these
judge...

It difficult to debate whether that was legal or illegal to with draw. But is
100% right he became victim of Makune and Oli's cunning and thuggy game. The
right to withdraw should have been only with the candidate himself than the
person who proposed. The whole game was not fair. When two time losers both
Ramchandre and Prachande can continue their candidacy why not Jhalle and why 2/3
rule applies to Jhalle only. The rule must be same to all players in a game. You
simply can not have different rule for each candidate. This sort of dirty
politics are seen again and again in Nepal only. Because heartless, criminals,
thugs, corrupts and murderers are at the realm of politics in Nepal.

I know very well that JN Khanal is not leader and he can not represent present
Nepali politics. SC has good decide.

Time is strong and ping with fast velocity. Is not it ? Mr. Khanal and his
candidacy has time over. Khanal is not leader now because he did not represent
reality. Therefore he is date spired. He was and still puppet of CIA, If not
