Speaking at the national conference on Muslim Rights organised by Nepali Muslims in the capital Thursday, Khanal said his party was firm in not supporting any candidate in the next PM run-off.
"UML is clear in its position," he said, adding, "If Nepali Congress and the Unified CPN (Maoist) are expecting UML's support in the next PM election, they are daydreaming."
UML decided not to support a majority government since only a consensus government would ensure peace and timely statue drafting, he claimed.
He also assured the Muslim community that UML would try its best to ensure their rights and welfare in the new constitution. nepalnews.com
