The Sindhuli district chapter of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) announced an indefinite strike in Sindhuli from Sunday accusing the local administration of failing to provide them security.

According to the organisers, the strike has been called to protest inability of the local administration to establish peace and security. It also demanded that the local administration announce Sinduli 'a banda-free district', where organizing any kinds of strike is prohibited.

Due to the strike, no vehicles were seen plying along the long and short routes. Local markets and educational institutions remained closed. The strike most affected the district headquarters.

The businessmen have demanded that government provide them security to run their business smoothly. FNCCI has said that it will not take back their shutdown strike until the local administration controls the rise in criminal activities and other violent activities in the district which is directly hampering their businesses.

The dispute between two youth groups Saturday had turned district headquarters Sindhulimadi tense. The businessmen have alleged the local administration of being 'a mute spectator' when gangs of miscreants manhandled local traders and residents in Sindhulimadhi on Saturday and forcefully shutdown the market. No one has been arrested in connection to the violence. nepalnews.com

This is good that vicil society is coming in the front now. All administrators
are igned by political parties. Because of that reason if youth group are from
their party they stay quiet. Therefore all political appointment must stop at
once and locakl adminsitration must be run by military. Police force should be
on second line. That is the only way to control security sector in
Nepal.

All those Prachanda followers are brain washed by the Maoists. They
don't have brain to think about Nepal they will just do what Prachanda says. In
fact Prachanda is the most arrogant and corrupted leader in Nepal. He is making
good money by selling names of DALIT barga. Prachanda is only incting those
people but doing nothing for them. Dalits life style can only be lifted when
Nepal is developed. But there is no sign of developing Nepal so dalits lives
will never improve. Prachanda only gave them false urances. But his sense less<...
Visa  - system for boarder crossed be applied   |124.108.48.xxx |2009-08-24 03:38:44
Nepal and India must be ready for closed the boarder. Government must make
provision for visa system to cross the boarder any Nepalese or Indian of either
side. To control the the criminal activities in Nepal, the solution is closed
the boarder for free movement of any nationalities in Nepalese territory without
visa. If Nepal fail to do, Nepal will be one state of India soon like Sikkim. We
will become the slave of India.
