Salt Trading Corporation will soon make its venture into the trade of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

"We will soon start distributing LPG in market since the gas manufacturing plant has already been established in Dhading," Urmila Shrestha, general manager of the corporation, said while speaking at the 47th anniversary of Salt Trading Corporation.

Shrestha argued that the decision of the corporation to diversify itself into LPG sector will help in addressing myriad problems besetting the supply of essential goods across the country.

Speaking on the same occasion, Saroj Kumar Yadav, State Minister for Commerce and Supply, said that the government is planning to make state nd semi-state owned entities efficient and vibrant to ensure smooth supply of essential products and services to general consumers.

"Private sector always tends to create obstacles in supply of basic commodities with petty business motives. So, the concept of public/private partnership must be effectively adopted to ward off black-marketing, artificial shortages and hoarding of basic commodities by unscrupulous traders," he further said. nepalnews.com

This is the best solution that the government has come up with. I applaud!! I
also hope other basic commodities will also be sold through private- public
partnership.
