Nepal Tourism Board along with eight travel trade companies took part in the 2nd Asia edition of ITB Berlin at Suntec City Convention Hall, Singapore on October 21-23 as part of promoting Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

According to a NTB statement, it is the second time that NTB and private sector companies jointly participated in ITB Singapore targeting Singaporean visitors as well as to interact with other international outbound travel trade from South East Asia Region.

The B2B among the traders, media personalities, visitors and buyers were simultaneously carried out in Nepal Pavilion. Most significantly, interaction session organized by Web in Travel with leading media like BBC, CNN and other reputed publication houses has made great exposure to Nepal’s tourism destinations, the NTB said.

NTB said exhibitors, trade visitors, buyers and media personalities made special queries and attention towards Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

Nepal Tourism Year 2011 was promoted during the fair through media literacy distributed among the fair organizers, visitors, buyers and the number of exhibiting companies from Europe, America, Australia, South East Asia and SAARC countries.

The event featured more than 650 exhibiting companies from the Asia Pacific Region, Europe, America, Africa and Middle East covering not only the leisure market but also corporate and MICE travel. nepalnews.com

RLS  - Nepal Tourism Year with Only 2 aircraft???   |198.161.174.xxx |2009-10-26 17:09:58
Sounds like a joke to me, with only two aircraft that national flag carreir,
Nepal Airlines possess, with old, worn out facilities and worst customer service
at the terminal building. Good luck !!! I had a very bad experience just few
years back at TIA....with broken conveyor belts, shortage of baggage carts,
harrment, bribes, etc. Perhaps buying more aicraft, changing the way NA does
business, espcially on customer service sector and reliability of its flight,
would make a true Nepal Tourism Year -- which is more sustainable....
