Foreign Employment Promotion Board (FEPB) has endorsed a new curriculum for Nepali workers aspiring for overseas jobs. This is the first step of this kind in the country.

The new curriculum prepared by the International Labor Organisation (ILO) is expected to make Nepali workers aware of different problems including HIV/AIDS they may face in overseas destinations.

The curriculum includes negative and positive aspects of overseas jobs, pre-departure preparation of documents and logistics, introduction of recipient countries, occupational hazards and ways to minimize them, including safety measures and first-aid treatment in case of accidents, it is understood.

The curriculum also incorporates necessary information regarding various aspects like geography, culture, religion as well as immigration and traffic rules and regulations of the host countries.

The curriculum is also focussed on the personal security of women workers and includes ways for practicing self defense and personal safety measures in workplaces.

Extending training hours for men and women to 13 and 12 hours respectively is also featured in the curriculum. nepalnews.com

and the saftey and the things that he needs to know before he gets there.
and if
