Hetauda's exports saw a decline of 45 percent in the last three months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year, according to media reports.

The closure of Colgate Palmolive Nepal and a downfall in the export of products produced by Hetauda's crusher industries are said to be prime reasons behind the decline in Hetauda's exports.

Last year, products amounting to Rs. 383 million were exported from Hetauda in the first three months while the arithmetic volume of exports stood at Rs. 208 million during the same period this year. There was not a single item exported by Colgate Palmolive Nepal and Trishakti Polypacks during the three months.

Exports of Everest Polymers plunged by 80 percent. Mahashakti Soap saw a 60 percent drop while Makwanpur Engineering and Company experienced 90 percent fall. nepalnews.com
