For Nepali consumers it is the first experience of an international food
company which will brings joy and also some silent question for nepali local
food market. We should welcome KFC and pizza hut as a compeor. And also we
shouldn't forget that these food are only JUNK foods.

momo and chowmein are not junk food idiot. They are freshly produced at least.
They are not stored in the fridge and genetically engineered. They are at least
in many ways fresh food. We Nepalis are not known for eating so called junk
food. This is a pure idea of the West that is encroaching in Nepal. First they
bombarded us with Coke and Pepsi. And now this.

Concerned Nepali  - Obese Nepalese   |203.24.1.xxx |2009-11-23 03:47:46
I think this is a bad news for Nepalese. People will be going to these places
without understanding the health implications of KFC and Pizza Huts. It is very
sad to hear that Nepalese are being lured for these junk food when health
concerned westerners are refraining from the fast food. This is a manipulation
of peoples ignorance. It is better if people realise this sooner than later when
obesity related diseases will grip the new generation...who will most likely
want to indulge into this so called dining experience.

do you know that chickens used by KFC are specially genetically engineered, and
grown so that they have almost no bone? so they can just the meat out of live
chickens for those boneless items. who wants to eat that ... iuhh

I'm sad to hear about the coming to Nepal of Kentucky Cried and PizzaBut.
This
is the pesticided, genetically modified, hormone fed and m produced product that
Nepali's have so far been blessed to have avoided. This "food" is
nothing like the real dahl, bhat and tarkali that they are used to. Now there
food comes primarily from local market vendors with fresh food. This is even
true in the restaurants. But Big Food's "food" is raised in a far away
country in the "most cost efficient" way possible. That means CHEAP.
And cheap does not produce a healthy product.
Next thing you know Nepali's
will get to chow down on Big Macs. Pity the people.
