Nepali U-19 Women's team clinched a hard fought victory over Singapore in a bowl-out over on Saturday, continuing the winning spree in the ACC Women's T-20 cricket being played in Malaysia.
Nepal won the match in the bowl-out over after the scores were tied.
Singapore was in need of just two runs in last over when skipper Nary Thapa brought in Biratnagar-based Rubina Chhettri. Rubina scalped five wickets in the last over, including a hat trick. That historic performance by Chhettri drew the match and bowl out was invited.
Neera Rajopadhya and Rekha Rawal hit the wicket in the bowl-out.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and batted first. But, Nepalese team started badly and could muster just 79 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Nepal will take Qatar at Kinrara Oval on Sunday. nepalnews.com
