Nepal continued its marvelous hunt for gold in the 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka, Bangladesh Monday as it secured four more gold medals to take its overall gold tally to six.
Angbabu Lama set the tone for today by winning gold in Wushu category. He claimed Nepal's second gold in the category by defeating his Indian rival in the finals.
Then Taekwondo ace Deepak Bista won another gold for Nepal in Taekwondo after trouncing his Bhutanese opponent 6-1 in the under 87 kgs bout played at the National Gymnasium in Dhaka.
With the win, Bista also made a national record by becoming the first Nepali sportsman to win 4 consecutive gold medals at the South Asian Games (SAG).
Ayusha Shakya then won another gold for Nepal in Taekwondo by defeating her Indian rival under the 53 kgs category.
However, Taekwondo player Manita Shahi could not repeat the success of her team mates, as she had to be content with a silver medal.
Meanwhile, Bindo Shakya also secured gold medal for Nepal in Karate. This is Nepal's second gold in the event. Sunil Lama had won gold for Nepal in Karate on Sunday. nepalnews.com
