Nepal continued its winning streak at the ACC U-16 Elite Cup Cricket tournament beating Bahrain by 85 runs on Thursday. Another all-round performance by Nischal Pandey on both bat and ball helped Nepal secure its third consecutive win in the tournament. Electing to bat after winning the toss, Nepal made an impressive 206 runs in the 40 over game with Nischal Pandey scoring 74 runs, Sharad Khadka making 26 and Hari Chaulagain not out at 27. In reply Bahrain could only muster 121 runs losing 9 wickets. Bahrain batted the full 40 overs but lost wickets at regular intervals and could not chase Nepal's score. Nischal again shined in bowling taking five scalps while only allowing 28 runs. Hari Chaulagain took two wickets for Nepal. With the victory, Nepal has topped its group and will plays in the semi finals against the 2nd placed team in the other group on March 14th. Nepal had got off to a flying start in ACC U-16 Elite Cup Cricket tournament Monday, beating Hong Kong by 6 wickets at the TU Cricket Ground.
