One killed by wild elephant in Rautahat

One person has been killed when a group of wild elephants attacked him while he was sleeping in his house, last night.

The elephants that came in a group of three/four killed Khim Tamang Pakhrin, 87, and damaged his house at about 11.30 pm, Saturday.

Other members of the family ran away from the house to save their lives.

Wild elephants have been torturing Rautahat denizens in the recent days. nepalnews.com

Sad to hear of loss of valuable human life. These losses are due to increased
human pressure on forest area.We have to live and let animals also live in
earmarked spaces for the wild life.We have brains and adaptability so wisdom
should be shown in tackling such crisises.
