Maiti Nepal, Nepalgunj, rescued 20 girls and women while they were being trafficked to India from the Indo-Nepal border point in Banke district on Sunday, reports RSS.

According to police, Rahul Sapkota of Kohalpur was taking the rescued to India promising them good jobs there.

The rescued are school students aged between 11 and 13 years and women above 25 years from Salyan and Banke districts, said regional coordinator of Maiti Nepal Keshab Koirala, adding, the former were in school uniform.

They will be handed over to their families after the legal process, he said. nepalnews.com

Mr. Keshab Koirala of Maiti Nepal has done great job but the culprit, Rahul
Sapkota must be hung to death.

Education & employment is the need of hour;
just see how they readily agree when it comes to employment. Cirstances just
compel people to take up what comes their way without making proper
judgment.

More & more of campaigns & awareness programmes must be brought into
action.

why not make a strong and estable law for this scenario alone. let the guilty be
hanged to death not a death sentence and spend tax money on looking after them
on jail. Just hang one then i hope this trafficking will just detoriate.
But our
law and government are no better then HIDECHA. so everyone has to suffer.
why
not trial the governement if they are not doing enough. why not maitai nepal
make a case against the government adn law for not being serious with such
criminals.
shoot at sight whould be better for the ed up criminals in this line.

Execute the evil women traffickers so that others learn the lesson.
If they have
problems executing hardened criminals then surely Nepal can get those
professional swordsmen from Saudi Arabia who do the job in fine style.

So sad for nepali innocent girls and women
traffiking in India, the main reason
is this that the peoples are innocent and poor, so the govt should take right
action (or death penalty) in Nepal those brokers of traffiking to India. There
should be strong id checking at the crossing points to India. I could not
understand yet, there is no action from govt in nepal. Fuk poor currupted Govt
of Nepal.

Jai Nepal

Large number of nepali girls and women are being the victims of these modern
slavery.... to save the life of the innocent girls and women who should be
responsible: government, civil society, political party ?/ or we can depend only
on some NGOs like maiti nepal...? Of couse we should thank maiti nepal for her
contribution. We all should be responsible and govt. should address the root
causes of human trafficking to solve this proble. We have sound policy about
trafficking but its implementation part is weak due to many reasons.
