Notorious gangster Milan Gurung, alias Chakre Milan, has been arrested along with four accomplices from a Hotel in Bhairahawa, Sunday morning, police said.
Police arrested Gurung and his accomplices from Hotel Ashoka International, Bhairahawa at about 7.45 am, Sunday in possession of arms and illicit drugs.
Acting on a tip-off of Gurung's presence, police had cordoned the Hotel since Saturday night and raided it this morning.
Gurung, who faces several criminal charges including murder, abduction, extortion and drug deal, was in the 'most-wanted' list of the police.
Police have also seized a revolver, some bullets and three packets of hashish from Gurung.
Police have adopted a stringent approach towards gangsters in the recent months. Earlier, two gangsters Deepak Gurung and Kumar Shrestha were nabbed from Kathmandu. Both of them are now in police custody. nepalnews.com
