19 involved in gambling offence held in Bafal, Kathmandu

Police arrested 19 persons allegedly involved in gambling in Bafal, Kathmandu district.

The arrestees include Riju Shrestha of Bafal (KMC-13).

Acting on a tip-off that they were gambling at Shrestha's residence in KMC-13, a team deployed from the Kalimati-based Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC) and nabbed them.

The MPC also seized Rs 286,000. The police also confiscated seven decks of cards, 12 sets of red queen, 18 sets of white queen, 32 sets of a black queen, and 61 sets of blue queen totaling 123 queen chips. The MPC also recovered 33 sets of KAUDA and 28 mobile phones of different companies.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed Kalimati MPC.
