Acting Chief Justice (CJ) Hari Krishna Karki has said that processes for the appointment of justices should be advanced soon to ensure justice delivery.
At a program me organized by Bar Council Nepal on Friday, Karki admitted that the expected job in the justice delivery has not taken place due to a limited number of justices.
"Despite working for the reforms in the judiciary, it has not taken momentum due to a limited number of justices," the Acting CJ said.
The judiciary has a limited number of justices amid a rising number of cases, Karki added. "So, the process to appoint the justices is required to be advanced ahead at the earliest possible," Karki argued.
The Acting CJ also claimed that the judiciary was working to deliver prompt justice and ensure the quality of justice delivery, while urging the legal practitioners to offer constructive feedback for the reforms of the judiciary and deliver impartial and quality justice.
On the occasion, Karki added that despite efforts to take the SC into the automation system, it could not happen for lack of sufficient means and resources.
