Bagmati Province has today announced its policies and programmes for the next fiscal year 2078/79. While announcing the policies and programmes Province Chief Bishnu Prasad Prasain mentioned that construction work of the tunnel road which is of provincial pride will begin next fiscal year.
He also informed that the government would complete the Churiyamai Tunnel in Hetauda and develop it as a research centre in the next fiscal. Previously, Shalikram Jamarkattel of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre) had stated that the tunnel road was not necessary and requested Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel not to include it in the policies and programmes for next fiscal.
Meanwhile, it was also announced that the provincial government would set up a COVID-19 vaccination centre to vaccinate all people residing in Bagmati Province in coordination with the federal government.
