Balen removes illegal shops in underground parkings

The attention of the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah (Balen) is now directed towards the underground parking within the metropolis.

The Metropolitan office has started to remove the shops and other structures placed in the underground parking in the metropolis.

According to Bhupadev Sah, the personal secretary of Metropolitan Mayor Sah, the basement of the parking area of the New Baneshwor area has been removed on Monday.

The Metropolitan office had already issued a 35-day notice to remove the basement. This work has been started on Monday with the help of Traffic Police, Nepal Police, and City Police. The 35-day notice issued by the metropolis expired on Sunday.

According to the New Baneshwor businessmen's association, around 22 buildings in the Baneshwor area have been prepared by passing the underground parking map.
