Case filed against making fake VAT bills

A case has been filed in the Patan High Court against the operators of Niraj Traders and Suppliers on the charge of preparing financial statements and income tax returns by purchasing fake and false value added tax invoices.

According to the department, a case has been filed against Shri Ram Thakur and Jatashankar Jaiswal of Birgunj Metropolitan City-10 of Parsa for doing business in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-3 of Chitwan.

The department has claimed Rs. 241,35,941 towards value added tax and Rs. 55,716,612 towards income tax. The department has filed a case demanding Rs. 159.7 million including fine.
