Irregularities have also been found in the Public Service Commission examination given to enter the service of Nepal Government. According to the Public Service Commission, action has been taken against 53 such examinees. There are 48 men and 5 women among those who have been prosecuted. This has been mentioned in the annual report of Public Service Commission.
In the advertisement of various posts called by the Public Service Commission, most of the applications are currently from Terai district residents of Nepal. Among them are Saptari, Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Mahottari and Siraha.
In the period of 1 year, 66 thousand 595 people from that district had applied in various advertisements. Manang, Mustang, Rasuwa, Dolpa and Mugu are among the 5 districts with the lowest number of applications. In these districts, 2,348 applications were made for various posts within a period of 1 year.
In the last 1 financial year, not a single candidate from Manang district could be recommended for permanent appointment. During this period, the most candidates recommended for permanent appointment are from Syangja, Kathmandu, Gulmi, Morang and Arghakhanchi. During the period of 1 year, 2 thousand 672 people were recommended for permanent appointment in various government positions.
