The work of the judicial committee has started from the courtroom, in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
They have started working for delivering justice, from the bench. As the room was being repaired, judicial committee used to work from the National City Hall of the metropolis.
The responsibility of the judicial committee is to look after the criminal cases that can lead to imprisonment for one year, cases that can be reconciled, cases of damaged houses up to 25 lakh rupees, and cases of house restoration facilities.
Sunita Dangol, is the coordinator of the committee and deputy head of the metropolis.
Currently, there are 242 complaints in the Judicial Committee. Out of which, 144 cases were transferred.
