Kathmandu reports 5,315 new COVID cases

In the last 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley has reported 5,315 new COVID cases. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the infection has been confirmed in 3,762 people in the Kathmandu district, 1,110 in Lalitpur, and 443 in Bhaktapur.

The number of active cases now has reached 34 thousand 159 and 2250 people have died. The total number of infected people in Kathmandu has reached 292,763.

COVID tests have been performed on 20,187 people on Saturday in the whole nation. Of those confirmed infected, 8,212 have been tested COVID positive through PCR tests and 2,042 from antigen tests.
