Pashupatinath, Janakpur developed as religious tourism hub: President Bhandari

Holy shrines carrying religious, cultural and tourism significance like Pashupatinath, Janakpur and Lumbini will be developed as a hub for religious tourism, according to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Presenting the government's annual policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year 2022/23 in parliament today, President Bhandari shared that the government had adopted the policy to promote cultural tourism in the upcoming years.

The new policy and programme also includes constructing a grand museum featuring history, art, culture and other unique identities of the country, said President Bhandari.

The Great Himalayan Trail in Darchula and Taplegunj will be upgraded while an integrated programme will be introduced to develop greater religious, cultural and tourism hub that incorporate Barahakhsettra, Chataradham, Ramdhuni and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, informed the Head of the State.
