Five Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG).
A meeting of the promotion committee held at the Ministry of Home Affairs today has recommended DIG Uttamraj Subedi, Arun Kumar VC, Divesh Lohani, Mukundaraj Acharya and Pooja Singh for promotion to AIG.
The committee has recommended for promotion as per sub-rule (4) of rule 27 of the Police Rules, 2014 (with amendments), said Dhiraj Pratap Singh, member-secretary of the promotion committee and Inspector General of Police.
