Request not to drive unlicensed vehicles on election day

District Administration Office, Kathmandu has requested not to drive unlicensed vehicles on election day. The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has published a notice today urging not to drive any vehicle other than the one required on the day of the election until the election is completed.

For the effective implementation of the provisions of Article 71 (Prohibition of Alcohol) of the Local Level Election Directive, 2073 BS, it has been requested not to sell, distribute and consume liquor from 12 noon on April 10 till the election is over. The district administration office has said that action will be taken as per the law if any act contrary to the notice is found to have been committed within the stipulated time.
