Revenue collection and development accelerated

Revenue of Rs 115.8 million has been collected by Tokha Municipality in the first five months of the current Fiscal Year.

It is said that the municipality has expedited the work of revenue collection and development in the tenth municipal council of Tokha municipality held on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Prakash Adhikari said that Tokha has given priority to plans that will make them proud. "The development of Tokha has gained momentum by initiating the planned activities without discriminating against any political party or the people," he said. He said that the people's representatives have a common responsibility in Tokha's development.

Deputy chief of the municipality, Gyan Maya Dangol, said that the budget passed by the municipality would be implemented as soon as possible. The Nepali Congress has boycotted the 10th Municipal Council. The Congress boycotted the meeting saying that the practice of signing authorizations before taking decisions has been started at the meeting of the municipality.

Among those boycotting the meeting are Ward Chairman of Ward No. 2 Deepak Raj Joshi, Chairman of Ward No. 3 Singh Raj Shrestha, Chairman of Ward No. 6 Maheshwar KC, Chairman of Ward No. 8 Keshav Bahadur Khatri and Chairman of Ward No. 11 Uttam Adhikari.

Ward Chairman of Tokha Ward No. 8 Khatri said that they boycotted the meeting after the mayor tried to conduct the meeting alone.
