The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order against the President's decision not to certify the Citizenship Bill passed by the Federal Parliament.
Petitioner Sunilranjan Singh informed that on Sunday, the single bench of Supreme Court Judge Hariprasad Phuyal ordered the President's Office to submit the reasons for not validating the Citizenship Bill.
5 writs have been registered in the Supreme Court requesting the President to grant a mandate to validate the bill.
