The main day of Chhath was celebrated on Wednesday evening by offering arghya to the setting sun.

Chhath festival is dedicated to the Sun God and ancient Vedic Goddess for one's good health, well-being and prosperity.

This festival, which is celebrated from Kartik Shukla Chaturthi to Saptami, was started on Monday.
