Nepal reports 91 new COVID cases

The country has recorded 91 more cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Such a number of coronavirus were detected in course of conducting 3,924 tests. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 165 people have recovered from the virus during the period.   With this, the number of people recovered from the coronavirus has reached 985,560.

The recovery rate is 98.6 percent, added the Ministry. There are now 1,740 active cases of coronavirus in the country. Of them 1,678 people are in home isolation, 62 in institutional isolation, and 20 in ICU.

Kathmandu district has now more than 500 active cases of COVID-19 while Lalitpur has now more than 200 active cases. Of the Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu district has now 668 active cases of coronavirus, 272 in Lalitpur and 31 in Bhaktapur.  The infection rate is 16.9 percent, shared the Ministry.

The death toll from COVID-19 so far remains at 12,016.
